Who will be delivering this session?

Ashley Williams is a Senior Associate within the IP team and leads the AI and Deep Learning Working Group within Withers tech. Ashley leads on the data protection matters for Withers tech, advising clients on a range of data compliance issues including data protection risk management, GDPR audit programmes, cross-border data transfer arrangements and direct marketing compliance. He represents clients across diverse industries including, emerging technologies, AI and software, with a particular focus on advising clients on the launch of new products and services to market. Ashley has particular expertise in advising clients on data protection matters relating to behavioural targeting and processing biometric data. He frequently speaks at events on a broad range of technology topics including AI, EdTech, AdTech and digital health. He has contributed to a number of publications, including producing a GDPR series for Biotech and Money.

Robert Glass is a Senior Associate in our corporate team and leads our Later Stage Venture Working Group within Wither tech. He is passionate about the high-growth tech sector and has experience advising investors and companies on funding rounds and other corporate matters at all stages of the start-up life cycle. Prior to joining Withers, Robert worked with a London and a San Francisco law firm. Robert received his Juris Doctorate from the New York University School of Law in 2012, was admitted to the California State Bar in 2012.
