BP's Challenge
In its mission to continue to diversify its customer offerings, BP, one of the world's largest integrated oil and gas companies, is looking to find new ways to serve the growing Chinese market with innovative mobility solutions.
RocketSpace Solution
RocketSpace mapped the EV fast-charging landscape, with a particular focus on the Chinese market, to identify the most appropriate partners to help BP achieve its strategic goals.
66iFuel Partnership
Through the Mobility Tech Innovation Collaborative, RocketSpace sourced 66iFuel, an EV fast-charging service provider with a commitment to user experience and operational efficiency.
With the program's launch, RocketSpace facilitated the pilot between BP and 66iFuel to test commerciality of super-fast charging in China.
Results: BP + 66iFuel
The 10 charging stations within the pilot have been co-built by BP and 66iFuel and can fully charge an electric vehicle within 30-60 minutes.
The Mobility Tech Innovation Collaborative program enabled BP to launch its first super electric vehicle charging station in the Jiading District of Shanghai, China, and take its first step to fulfill its promise to serve Chinese EV consumers, thereby increasing future revenue and market share potential in China.
